what is new in my life... lets see
Im a-going to UCLA this fall :) And I do believe that gives me a 3 month summer :) yesss....Not exactly sure what major to be in though- I originally applied for engineering, but i looked at what I had to do and what it actually was...Yeah. Are honors programs any good? I can't apply until I'm in the correct college there, but I don't really know what an honors program entails, besides extra work of course, lol.
daVinci is going bye bye soon, not sure when. He's been out of commission lately because of a strained tendon, so I've been riding other horses. Riding them too has made me realize that I've outgrown my lil pony. But thats not why we're giving him to my old trainer. College costs too much! lol. But I'm still gonna ride, and for Championships this year I might get to ride this adorable draft cross that is super nice, if d goes before then
Besides that, I have 9 AP/IB test over the next three weeks, half of them two day tests, and three I am quite worried about.
Steps is dumb sometimes. Scratch that. More than enough of the time.
What to do for prom.....the eternal question.

So I got into UCLA, UCSD, and Chapman too far. Too bad I don't want to go to Chapman, they are offering me 20,000 a year, sweet :). Its nice to know your worth something somewhere. Still waiting on Stanford, USC, and Claremont Mckenna.
College is expensive.

I think that we all have something like 97 days left of school? Can't wait I will say that much :)
IB stuff got all turned in. Not like it got there on time though. Swenson never really noticed the deadline though we tried to remind him numerous times and we ended up reading Oedipus Rex, Tartuffe, and were supposed to read the Divine Comedy (haha no) and write two essays. One compared societies in OR and DC, the other cultural similarities in Tartuffe and Death of a Salesman. Along with that we had our extended essays due. Not very organized. And Mr. Swenson said he would help us, and he never did. Bit frustrated with that right now. THey are going to arrive late too.
Did a runthrough of my german oral today- not too too bad! I know that she still very much dislikes me, but she was very civil and helpful. Very nice. Ahhh im frustratee with calc right now. Its like i dont have the time to do homework, but i understand all the material, and yet I am constantly making algebraic errors and fudging up random issues.
Track sweats this year look pretty sweet :). Loing our spandex-ness too. We have Katella Relays tomorrow and I hope that it doesnt get rained out. Ahhh last week out meet got rained out. But so far the season has opened pretty well. Started off with a 50.0 in the 300's and a 62 in the 400. Too bad i have to miss Dana and an Invite next week.
Oh yeah. I dont want to go to Indianapolis. We fly out at 6 from LAX and get in at 9:30 on Sunday night. How lame is that.
I hate missing school. Oh and I hate indecision.
Any ideas for a theme for a 30 second Top 20 video?

Wow is all I gotta say
First announced back in May without the "of Orange County" clause that makes it sound like a parental edition of MTV's Laguna Beach: The Real Orange County (which itself was presented as a reality version of Fox's The O.C.), Bravo doesn't try and hide the fact that like Laguna Beach, The Real Housewives was envisioned as an unscripted version of a popular primetime soap -- in this case ABC's smash-hit Desperate Housewives.

4000 words is a lot to write on one topic. Especially Russian history with the Bolsheviks in 1917. Im on 1800 and counting.
I think I might finish my TOK essay tonight. That one is on the misuses of statistics. Another fun thing =)
Went to Golden Spoon tonight with Armas, Sid, Ryan, Trazi, and Sera. How fun! We ate ice cream and absolutely froze, and then we "loitered" in the parking lot. Playing music was fun. Then we did shopping cart races in which Armas and I won against Sid and Ryan because of my ingenuity to hold back their cart. Hehehe. Throw up stories were fun. Talked a lot about people dying in stupid ways.
NY in two days!

So winter formal was pretty fun! The days started off with riding and then heading over to get my hair and makeup done at the Beauty College. It was a pretty fun hairdo. I got it done differently than all the normal curls, in kind of a falling ponytail thing on the back-side of my head. I dunno. It was fun though and took awhile to get it to stay :). Got home and then went off to take pictures. Lots of pictures. Goodness. I am always amazed at how many pictures parents and everyone can take. So my feet were hurting already after that because my shoes were like too small, but got used to them by the end of the night.
Jordan's van was amazing. We had glowsticks and glow in the dark stars and tinsel like thingies in the car! Fun fun. We used Alexa's dellpod for music too. Drove to PF Changs and decided to walk through the mall all parade like. So we did. Through Nordstroms too. Fun! PF Changs is amazing. I love the "Chicken in SOOTHING lettuce wraps" haha. Awesome. We were playing this fun question game and it was getting all fun, rich rich rich :) awkward, but valid question! Ida was pretty neat! (Armas's date)
Got to the dance and the floor was quite sparse looking, but it was fun anyways. I knew a lot of the songs actually. THEY PLAYED SOARING FLYING FROM HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL (Disney Channel Original Movie) :) love love love that song. People were freaking even though they werent supposed to. And there were lots of administrators around. :). So Court. Girls got these tiaras and flowers (pretty pretty me like) and guys got ties. Jordan won ::applause:: and so did Megan Konishi ::eh:: :) haha. But its still pretty sweet. Took a picture afterwards and then finished up the dance and went home!
Got back to Armas's house and i sorta fell asleep. Was woken up 45 min later by everyone saying they were too tired to do anything and we were all going home. Fun night though! Pics on myspace.
Had IEL banquet this monday...super fun minus the interruption by Stephens calling me for music. ::Anger:: I won't go into that though. Its all okay now. BUUUTTT, I actually won a class! At second level! THats a HUGE deal for my horse and me. We rarely win anything that is year end just because hes a pony and super hard. I got reserve in another too. And oh yeah, i got the top Senior scholarship. $3000! Yay :) Made my evening. THHS came in 6th overall for the entire year I believe. Not too shabby at all!
I don't know how much more of living life on like 5 hours of exhaustion sleep. I mean I know that most people in high school dont get much sleep, but like I dont even have time to do all my homework or anything anymore. I don't even know whats going on in LOTF right now, at least biblically. And we have an essay tomorrow. Like I have decided track comes first this fall, but now I dont have time to ride my horse, and I have orchestra on monday 6-9, mark's WCW on wed 6-9 in san clemente, weight room two days a week, homework, somehow have to fit in my extended essay (4000 words by March 1), my TOK essay (March 1), paperwork for all my CAS, do all this extra music stuff, RIDE (geez), design a website for my trainer, and the list just continues and continues. I feel like I am a teacher for most of my IB teachers, like I know more than all of they do. I swear, I even have their booklets. But I just get so restless. Like in school when I am not doing anything I just feel restless, like why am I here when I could be accomplishing something else. Or I get the feeling like, what is the difference if I watch TV for one hour or start on my hw right now, because I will finish at the same time no matter what. ::Sigh:: Once AP/IB tests are over I will feel much better.
On the upside, somehow my GPA went up as did my class rank despite getting my first two B+'s (gasp! :) ) I now have a 4.8 and am 5th. Haha not shabby I guess. This crazy work is paying off for something.
So Valentine's Day wasn't too bad. I got a few friend valentines that made me feel special. And I got the smallest of something else from someone of course meant nothing, but it was nice to think it did ;-) lol.
I hate being semi sick. You are not sick enough to not do things, but you feel miserable at random times. Especially after hard workouts. Its nice not having shannon to run with in track :) I love her, but its nice to have Sam and I be the leaders instead. Tracks gonna be fun this year. Captain! at least im hoping.... :)
I love the Olympics. I wanna but a shirt. Oh and i signed up for some 24 hour fitness thing.
I really hope I make it mentally through the next two months without falling apart from too much to do. When you see a shooting star, wish for me :)

LIVEJOURNAL DELETED EVERYTHING
In a nutshell, finals were okay minus calc, but it turned out okay. I have definitely come to the conclusion that Stephens is crazy. I play the exact phrase 20 times exactly right but he keeps telling me random things that dont make sense so I dont do anything. And at the end, hes like now isnt that better? Oh yes..... He also wants me to buy this $100 ligature that makes me sound brighter, though he claims it makes my sound darker. Did I mention every time he has his clarinet in his hand and I walk into the room he plays my solo to try and show off? crazy man....
Shaan asked me to winter formal, so now I have an official date! OUr group i think will have the guys being Armas, Shaan, Matt Cox, David something, and Jordan, maybe some other ppl, and the girls will be me, Sera, Frances?, Brittany, and some girls I don't know. It should be FUN! Next court duty is extended snack on the 2nd. We have to lipsynch to the Love Medley. At least its a GOOd song =). Know all the words baby.
Random thought of the day: why must every guy I think is remotely nice or fun, or anything of that general category (aka has some future to like) have to be mormon??? And this always happens to Byron and me! AH, why?
Girl's soccer game tonight was intense! Met up with Shannon and her ASB friends b/c Meg couldn't go (Gabi and Matt) and had fun. Cheered on track buds and listened to Coach Kelly call the game. Had lots of fun just chatting and sitting in the coldness. Fun fun fun. Talked to Meg when I got home in my driveway, and now I think I might watch an episode of smallville and scrapbook!
Clark told Lana his secret then went back in time to fix it since she died. Now his dad is dead. Poor Clark =(FUN.

So today I went and got myself sore again down at Mission's weight room. Talked to Tifney about borrowing her dress for formal, but then realized the school doesn't allow backless dresses. So I decided to trek over to Mission mall to look for shoes. My goodness! Some places are super expensive. I cannot justify spending $300 on a pair of shoes. lol. I realized then that I had not eaten breakfast or lunch, so I decided to head home to satisfy my hunger. I stopped by Saddleback College too, for transcripts, but I forgot that some places operate around regular work hours, lol. Oh well
I went shopping for a dress in the afternoon, and Windsor was a mob. Went to David's Bridal when they were actually open, unlike the last time I went and found an awesome dress. The picture does not do it justice. The color doesn't even look like that. It is more a green/aqua look than what is shown. And it is floor length. And it just looks prettier in person. Oh and I got an informal ask to winter formal today. He said the official one is coming later. Exciting!
( Dress! )
Came home and didn't do much. Now I have to start on my calculus homework. Joy!

One more week and then only a semester left....can't wait! Horse show went well! We got this supercute picture of most of the team at the show and banquet is Feb 13...i love it. You get all dressed up, which is weird cause you never see any of the people outside their grungy barn clothes.
Heart of Darkness should die. Well okay, not the book. But Swenson's multitude of questions should. The book is so deep! My goodness, every little comma has a purpose and the theories are so abstract. Multiple choice test tomorrow. AH...George, Casey, Kendall and I went skipping around first period on search for a new trashcan. We visited Stordahl, Cox, and then found one. Dance show tonight was fun! Ran into Jeremy...haven't talked to him in forever.
So today during english Shannon Lane, Shaan, and Carley Wells came in to announce Formal Court and they go through their spiel with Jordan. And when they kept going, ah, lol i knew what was coming. A bit of an awkward moment, since we did break up last week, but it was okay. I got a boa! Way cool. But i think that I have to go to some half time show at a basketball game, and find a date. Meg and I are making a list of potentials lol. Oh and they introduced me as "Band Major, in NHS, and president of the Equestrian Club" lol.........my goodness
One more night of no sleep! Yessssss

Oh my goodness. Talk about hell week! I will be happy when it is over. But then track season starts and I will have to juggle that and horseback riding. Horse show this sunday....last one of the season! Cross your fingers for me folks.
Steps needs to take some chill pills. I have to sit right in front of him and if I miss one sycopated note, he stops the whole band to talk to me and do that annoying stare of his. All the time. Its always my fault. Quite annoying actually. Oh and he thinks that if he simply gives me music theory and all this other random stuff to do that I will actually do it. Crazy man, he has no idea. I've told him before, and I tell him again. I have his class 7th period, why doesn't he TEACH me?
On the brighter side, I picked my extended essay topic- it is The Birth of Communist Authority in Russia 1917-1924: Lenin and the Bolsheviks. How exciting ;-) Oh you know it is. Stordahl gave me this cool book from 1981 that I have been lugging around for the past couple days getting some background info. Has an old syllabus inside of it from a typewriter! yay
I am thinking about going to Winter Formal stag with Aubrey and Brigitte and co. Everyone else is boycotting because of a "no-freaking rule." I don't know, how about not freaking? Yeah so I really want to go!

I've been having such a bad week. I really don't know what totally up...probably a mixture of everything in my life becoming so insane at the same time. But like I've been on the verge of tears like every day for awhile. And even my birthday didn't seem special this year.
Its like, you get older, get more responsibilities, and every so often, everything becomes so overwhelming.

Our Equestrian Team sweatshirts and pads came in!! I'm so excited. We look all professional now =). So I have a show next weekend, but Im even more excited because my horse has been doing so awesome lately. I did trot and canter halfpasses on him the other day and he is backing up on the bit now. I've been getting really good canter etc too. My trainer says she wants me to do the FEI pony individual, preliminary, and team tests this year! That is equivalent to Third Level =) and an International class, hehehehe. I can't believe daVinci was like unrideable when I bought him!
So, ha, umm.....these track workouts are intense! My last workout was 2 x( 4x200) with 90 seconds between each 200 and 6 min btwn the set. Ah, and coach put hurdles in there. OMG hard? Yeah, Tifney and I were dying. We also did one that was 6x300, little more bearable. But I love doing weights. It's kind of a mental thing, especially when there are guys in the weight room. Try to show them up ;) jk. But minus the weird wrestling ones that are just gross.
CMC was fun! I went up Tues morning, sat in on a Calculus class, which was pretty cool. Had lunch with the coach there and some track girls and then we all did a bit of homework. After that we went to the weight room where I got to talk to so many ppl and it was great! Dinner, went to some snack thing, talked to the School Social Pres guy, who says he has the best job b/c the school pays him 30,000 a semester to put on parties, lol. Crazy guy.... Went to an Organic Chemistry Lecture in the morning after staying up until 2, and then came home. College is so much more fun than high school! Well, one day at least :)
My birthday is on Monday!! Can't wait.....finall 17! haha

So its been a long time eh? Let's see how much I remember....
We had our first comp on the 22nd....up at OCC, not bad. It was a better show than the level at which we were performing it before, so that was sweet. But I had to fight the crowds because they put me in the stands on the tiny podium instead! Ah, I had no room. But Quincy was my almighty protector and guided me out of the crowds =). Now our second comp....well, I'm glad we have Las Vegas to make up for it. Poor Steps- he got surgery on his elbow (ew!) He took his sling off today and said he can't grip anything with his hand. Oh and Mission pep band game.. we were totally clobbered by Mission. 48-0 by the first half. My gosh =) final score was 54-14. I was excited that I got to meet my mission band friends on friday and saturday! It was exciting. I was at mission's weight room on wednesday and I stopped by to say hi because their practice just ended. They are one loud band- haha you can hear them from inside the buses. I like their show this year =) But don't worry, I like Rich's "The whaaallle, the wwhhhaallle, up hiiillmmmm, up hillllmmm!" better ;)
AH! I almost died on this monday. We did a 5-3-1-2-4 workout for track and Colleen, Natalie, and I almost died. I ran with Tiffany on my 300- lol it was supposed to be slow, and I think I came in at 48-49? That was a bit on the quick side, considering the others came in at 58, lol. But it was scary being in the weight room with wrestlers on tuesday. They were all trying to recruit me for wrestling. ?? Yeah, ok. How bout no?
Halloween was kind of a dud. Didn't really do much besides sit at home and work on hw while all else slaved away at college apps. Thats for Thanksgiving for me. I did go out to Kates for a bit, and then dropped by Jordan's on my way home. I got a packet of nerds out of that one =) Oh and he brought a blowhorn to the Mission comp, omg lol. Oh and since we couldn't go to Homecoming because of OCC, he planned a special thing for the Sunday after. It was so cute! Ah =)
I was sick today. And I sound like a seal or sea lion or some sort of cold water creature. Ah my throat is killing me, and I feel like Im behind in my classes because I missed like all of today, going to miss tomorrow, missed fourth yesterday because of a notsofieldtrip, and monday was off. HW weekend! Yay? no, boooo. One thing I have noticed that is stupid about high school, but i guess they have to have it. If you are sick, or doing nothing in class, or having a work day when you've already done the work, why should you have to go to school? Seriously, sometimes we'll just go over hw in calc and have a free talk period, and I wish I could just skip lunch and go home two hours early, or german, english reading days. Or band days when Moreau teaches the entire time and I either sit reading or watching. Or the fact that you have to have your parents sign you out of school when you drive there yourself. Its just weird to me =/
I did a half pass on my horse yesterday!!! How cool is that??Vegas tomorrow! I hope I dont forget anything =D

So I went running with Colleen (masters lady- really fast!) today after school, which was pretty sweet. Rain + Running = Fun. I've got weight room twice a week now and I think I'm starting to get a workout plan figured out....this year I'm gonna be prepared =). Oh and its pretty cool, I got a call from Lehigh the other week about track and school, yadda yadda. She said she was going to call back every so often to see how I was doing and invited me to come for an official visit =) Weee... exciting. Oh and I'm going to Claremont McKenna for the night in late Nov for an overnight visit. Occidental called today, but I don't really know anything about that school.....lol
Omg, Angels game this weekend was a blast! Minus the fact that the White Sox won the series the day my sis and I went =)....It was totally awesome though. Last time we went, we had seats far right field and on the lowest level. This time we were at the top in 513, but we had a really good downwards view. I had so much fun though. At the end we sneaked down to the very closest we could go (after the game I mean) and we saw all the white sox jumping up and down so excited. Then my sis and I had a Desperate Housewives marathon at her apartment. After that, I drove home in the rain, which decided to pelt down as I was on the 5 and i had to figure out where my windshield stuff was, grrr.....and of course I don't have a transponder yet so I couldn't take the toll road back. I love the rain! Lightning was super cool too!
Ok, so Mooney. Loud. Red. Loud. Annoying. Loud. And he doesn't like teach psychology at all. All we do, all the time is copy the glossary for work. Or do scripts for mini skits. Why don't we all go back to elementary school?? Ugh, its just frustrating, because were not learning anything but that he talks to LOUD to put your attention elsewhere. GR We only have 16 notecards right now. Oh and don't worry, we have like a batch of 40 due next week. Supposedly he went on a rant cause the class wasn't listening on friday about how none of us will ever appreciate him or respect him, even though he got a standing ovation at UCLA when he was 28, and that he knows more than any of us will know, or something like that. ::Sigh:: We like to laugh when his voice cracks, which is like all the time =)
